ok same test with same conditions. i used cruisers for target hulls though to minimize to-miss chance.
turn 8 ship fires first shot - one ship dies (rest out of range)
turn 9 three ships die (remaining charges)
turn 11 another ship dies
turn 12 another three ships die
turn 14 another ship dies
turn 15 3 ships die
turn 17 ship dies
turn 18 3 ships die
turn 20 ship dies
turn 21 3 ships die
Strategical gives 20 turns, prolly because now the ship got to fire all four in first in-range round.
without multiplex, a ship dies each turn from turn 8 or 7, ending up in turn 27 or 26 (how?)
same with strategical.

Did you test other settings than 20% also? Different results?
I don't recall any multiplex problems in tactical combat, where there any in strategical only?

If this would be a really intelligent system, the first shot would just be out of a part of weapons that would cause 20% damage? Especially for weapons with reload time. Damage per cent per ship is still one of the misteries that prolly even MM could not tell us.

I thought this was listed as fixed in the Gold patch 3 history.txt. It's pretty clearly fixed. I don't think you need to set damage to 20% either, unless you want to spread fire to undamaged targets.

pvk, just try it.  i dont know WHY it works, but i know it works. i suspect that the percentages go for to-kill-over. like 80% = 100% and 80% more to ensure its dead.
If you try a baseship with LOTS of weapons (like 23 meson bLasters) you'll still see it shoot with every second weapon (at different targets).
And no, it does NOT spread the damage. it targets a new target only once the previous one isnt a threat anymore - that means, it is either dead or has no means to retalitate (and has shields down) but this is modifyable in the targetting priority.

YES IT WAS FIXED!! DUH! it works as it should, or perharps im using too small of a target... dunno.
same trial, a BC with four large WMGs and ten targets...
