That works for me. I hope you can get out of 3rd place. I'd consider a Non Agression agreement between us while we deal with our respective AI.
We could maintian our current borders with the exception of Deadness which we all know belongs to The Tessellate people.

Since victory conditions are that you have phun then I encourage you onward.
We recently had phun with the Torons. We sent two brave Fighter Fraggers through the warp point just as one of their light cariers was coming through. Took out 28 of their fighters but the Last remaining finished off the second fragger.
I wonder how a fleet will do against the Phuns.
