Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
Strangely enough even in medium universes with the TDM mod I have systems with no names. Is it because the 'puter ran out of names?

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
Look in the old scenarios section of the bulletin board here. I know that several people posted long lists of system names (some of them several thousand strong).

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
I downloaded a rather large system name file from Kuat Drive Yards a while back...it serves me rather well.
(EDIT: Didn't realize that KDY went down...I hope not for long... )

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
here is a list of 4000 names
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newup...1028676704.txt
download this one...
All the names are of objects in space that are between 3m and 250m in size...
You will also find this in FQM mod... For system names which is huge

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
I put together a system names file .
Its not Names but 255 numbers, that are automatically placed with Planet numeral etc.
I rename the Breathable Planets, to names I am familiar with and a pre-symbol, in this Planets I want at the top are always on the top; of the Build queue.
For example:
(((((.))))) 1111- Navillus - This is the Home World
(((.))) 1111- Amanda - This would be a largely Populated Breathable world with a ship yard and Cities.
((.)) 1122- Sparta - A Breathable colony over 200 pop also with a SY in System 1122
1111- IV - A domed Colony fourth from the sun.
1213- III - A domed Planet Third from the sun in the 1213 System
~”~
and so on.
Anyway it works for me
If you want a copy just let me know and/or you will find in AICs Extras data folder.

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
FQM, in my sig, has something like 65000 names in it (or maybe it is 40000, I forget). It has all the names on Kuat Drive Yards in it already.
Edit:
Ok, it really has 56068 names (should all be unique too)... Both Versions of FQM have this file in them.

Re: Where can I download 255 system names?
Are you looking for Real star names or lists of names in general?
I mean to say if you are not looking for real names
I have a bunch of list going with words expresions, phrases, etc...
When I think of a desired name I ad it.
Works for me.
