AI Ram
I can't believe the AI rammed me! I just downloaded the TDM Mod and was going along when a war started between me and United Floral. I attacked a ship armed with planetary napalm (which unmodded AI never uses) and no anti-ship weapons and it rammed me. Well I'll be damned. The AI actually fights back, cool.

Re: AI Ram
You'll see all kinds of new tactics from the TDM AI's, There is ramming ships, capturing ships, colony ships that will ram, colony ships built with light cruiser hulls with cloaking, sails, and panels, armed colony ships that will glass a planet, then colonize it themself, fleets that instead of going back for repairs after being crippled will break up and proceed to attack multiple targets (i.e - I had attempted to damage/cripple every ship in a fleet to take advantage of the AI recalling the fleet for repairs sisnce I knew I couldn't stop it, but instead the fleet broke up, and ended up glassing 7 planets of mine, and chasing down 2 of my colony ships), base ships used as transports and carriers, stellar manipulation ships, and a whole lot of other things that aren't typically seen with the AI.
Almost forgot, you'll also see some of them capture planets fairly well.

Re: AI Ram
The first time the AI turned a ship on me and hit the throttle I had one of those "What the...?!?!" moments. I was moving my AS ship close to take control of their ship. It didn't have anything that I couldn't make myself, but I figured I could use it to add to my empire. Next thing I know I'm down a prize cargo hauler and minus one AS!! Crafty!

Re: AI Ram
After checking out other threads, I just realized that the AI pulled a fast one on me yesterday. It sent a colony ship and escort into a VERY undefended system of mine. I wasn't too worried, and quickly built a defender to take care of the problem, but the fleet disappeared before my craft was constructed. I figured that the fleet was scrapped or had self destructed when it realized that any gains it could make would be gone in a turn or two. However, many turns later the fleet appeared again out of the blue. The only explanation is that the craft was hanging out in a sensor jamming storm until reinforcements arrived or the time was right to attack. Humm. Thanks TDM!

Re: AI Ram
you will also find that the AI will show a fleet say of 12 ships, however, when you attack it, you find 50 ships, the others in the fleet were cloaked......
