hehe I WON A GAME..
vs the TDM AIs of course. What I did was start the game with no warp points and went mad on research. The stupid flower people still challenged me though.
This was also the first game I used "mounts". I didn't know that button existed. I was wondering where they researched the 300 damage wave motion gun. The bigger mounts make ALL the difference in battle.
I am still trying to learn PB e-M so I can play against my friend. He said if I can get it to work he'd be up to kickin my arse all over town. Never would happen because I read these forums. lol

2 questions.
1. no warp points? As in stuck in one star system for a long time until someone learns to create them?
2. mounts? Do you mean weapon mounts?
I am playing my first TDM game and enjoying it. So far I have met two other races, one is fairly stupid (they have ships with no weapons but they declared war on me?) And another that seems similiar to myself. I have a sneaky suspicion that there is a real bad boy out there just waiting...

Yeah, the mounts option is not very obvious. I played for 6 months before finding it. And the only reason then was that I went looking for it, puzzled by all of the references to "mounts" in this forum.

Ahhhh, mounts! Cool, does add quite a bit of damage to a weapon with little addition of space or weight!

PBEM is not hard to set up and run. I played over a year like that. Of course, THEN I discovered PBW.
