Correct tech trade

*blushes* yea yea shame on me, but how do i correctly use the trade option? for example i want to transfer three levels of one tech for level 7th of another tech. how do i do it correctly?

Offer 3 levels and ask for 1. You have to trust that they actually have the levels they claim they have.
