Re: map editor questions
it was cancelled a few years ago, so if your looking for it your either going to have to rely on luck or bug your local tv station.

It wasn't so much cancelled as they decided to make movies; check the Red Dwarf homepage.

Re: map editor questions
Thanks guys. I have another question: Is there a way to change the stardate on which the game starts? (Something other than 2400.0)

No, you cannot change this. The closest you can come is to make the number higher. To do so, start your game and put all AI under your control. Then keep pressing End Turn (F12) until you get to a higher date. But remember not to do anything to your empire with research, designs, etc. It would be a long process if you take the turn number very high.

Re: map editor questions
Thank You Ragnarok. Also, is there any way to change the number of light-years per square unit in the galaxy map and/or change the dimensions of the galaxy map to more than 67x46?

What exactly do you mean by this? I assume you are referring to the "every square is 10 light years" rule? If so then you can say they are anything. But when it comes to opening warp points and calculating the distance then no, you cannot change the light years.

Not that I know of.

Re: map editor questions
Oh, thats too bad. A feature like that would be very useful in making bigger maps. This is something that should be included in SEV.

Re: map editor questions
You can edit the warp opener component descriptions to create another scale - 1 ly per square, 100 ly, 1 parsec, whatever you want. The map will still be the same but it will have a different scale (if it helps any).
