Gt, try turning off the sound under options, CD music etc, I had similiar problem a number of Versions ago, but when i turned off the cd music it was ok, or turn your resolution either up or down, or combination 800x600 etc

and yes there are older, more mature, distinguishing, dashing, suave, geriatric hippie geezers around,
