I know there have been many examples where "good intentions" have brought "bad" results. And though I do not wish to be argumentative, I hope you are wrong in your assessment. I know that the Middle East has unique religious obstacles, but I don't think that should stop us from attempting to help the Iraqi's form a new government. Things will not happen over night, nor will it be easy.
I sincerely hope that our good intention brings opportunities to both Iraqi men and women not death and fear that the previous goverment did. |
