Re: Launch Warning
I started the game several weeks before the new patch was installed.

THAT could be the source of the problem. Try starting a fresh new game with this patch.

Re: Launch Warning
Followup to previous post, now during combat
the window 'Launch Warning' appeared.
I'm in the 400 plus turn when this happened.
Yes, I started the game several weeks before I installed the new patch. This game has been going on for 6 weeks in a 250 system quadrant with 19 computer opponents, so you can see why starting over would be a great disappointment.
Are there any solutions?

You could try copying your save game file, deleting SE4, reinstalling and patching up to the level it was at when you started the game.
No guarantees, I don't know if it might have saved something which will cause problems.

Re: Launch Warning
In another topic, Emperor Zodd said Malfador is aware of a cloaking-type problem. Here's the URL for that other discussion:

Re: Launch Warning
First off you need a saved game. Then, on the turn before this error happens, turn the player that is causing the error into a human player. You'll wind up playing the turn for it (which is lame, I know!), after that turn it back to an AI. I've gotten around a few otherwise game killer errors that way. That's not to say that won't happen again though.
