Re: Poll: SE IV Platinum or SE V?
"Sure they can. Those ships were made with 3D models already. The ship set artists just have to make them in a slightly different 3D format, and they will work fine."
Except that most of them probably have far too many polygons to be imported and still run smoothly..my Cluk-Ruk ships, for example, are 3d. They're also upwards of 20,000 polygons.

So reduce the number of extraneous polygons...

Re: Poll: SE IV Platinum or SE V?
Not possible in Bryce. I'd have to- and will, eventually- re-do the entire set from scratch in another program.

Those boxy ships are 20,000 polygons??? Geez, what did you do, go into millimeter detail on the gunports?

Re: Poll: SE IV Platinum or SE V?
The next game will be SE:V. There will be no more games in the SE:IV series, even though patching and support will continue.

Re: Poll: SE IV Platinum or SE V?
I guess the manufacturers label and serial number on each gunport takes up a lot of polygons

Bryce is designed for making landscapes and such, which require loads of polygons to look decent.
