It's funny this popped up, about 3 hours ago I was in the wal-mart across town looking at games and I was gonna buy Simcity 4 until I heard someone freaking out and berating a customer service rep about being ripped off in buying the game.

I feel sorry for that wal-mart employee, but i got the hell out of that department as fast as I could and left that game there. I was terrified about what he would say if he saw someone holding it!

Ok so I go out this morning and buy the Delux addition as the stores around here want as much for the Delux as they do for just the expansion pack.

I come back, install the game on the HP POS and go to www.simcity4.com to registar the game. I registar the game, filled out the form, and clicked I AGREE. A message pops up saying that a confirmation EMAIL was just sent and I need to acknowlege it before my account will be activated and I can access the features on the web site.

That was at 10 this morning. It is now nearly 10 pm and I have still not received an email.

I did the smart thing and took a screen capture of the form after I filled it out just in case something should happen. The Email address was correct, both times, so I should have received a confirmation email.

Nope. So I click on HELP and it directs me to the EA web site. That site is utterly useless for the problem I am having.

So I go back to www.simcity4.com and try to reregistar and guess what? My game serial number has already been registared and I can not use it for a new registration. So I try to log in. I get a nice message telling that I need to respond to the confirmation email that was sent to me. What confirmation email? I have yet to receive one. Normally such confirmation emails take only a few moments to be sent out. Not days.

If ever there was something that I would want to see blown up, it would be the Maxis web site.

Oh for the love of GOD! I go to EA support chat I get his message:

So I go to their tech support question system and ask a question and I get this:

Man I thought it an impossible task, making SimCity 4 into a worth while game, but boy did they pull it off here.

This expansion pack really does a lot for making the game a great game. I actually enjoy playing it now and have even crashed a chopper, both the two wheel kind and the whirly bird kind.

This is by far well worth the money I forked out.

The game is now quite fun to play. If you have not checked it out, this deleuxe Version is well worth it.

Now if we can just get www.simcity4.com to fix thier web site.

It's because they want your money and don't give a rats *** about it once they have it.

Actually I think a description of the product is definitely necessary. Especially for a series game like SimCity. What is different in 4 than in 3? These are the kinds of questions consumers use to determine whether or not to purchase an item.

It worked for MOO3. I preordered that POS based on descriptions on the Web site and the forums. The descriptions painted a much different picture than what the game really is. I was expecting something more like MOO2.

I started playing and was soo bored I kept walking into the other room to see what was on TV. The wife kept asking me "Aren't you playing your new game?"
