Re: Comletly OT: What is your favorite natioal anthem ?
Oh, speaking about Brazilian. I was in the under-21 WC final in Moscow-97 (damn, don't remember the year, may be 96) Brazil beat Spain and I had few Brazilian guys next to me. I tried to exchange Hammer&Sicle Red Flag to the really complicated Brazilian flag. Guy was not impressed of course, but we had few vodkas later. Don't be surprised, I still cherish that piece of cloth
Yes, Brazilian anthem is good. But still behind my favorite trio.

Re: Comletly OT: What is your favorite natioal anthem ?
Meh.. I always felt that the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was a better national anthem. But really, "Fratelli d'Italia", "La Marseillaise", "God Save the Queen" they all work on me. I get a lump in my throat, misty eyed, and want to ask, "Who can I kill for you to make it all better for you? Seriously, I'm not particular, anyone at all."
And I've never been in the armed forces. National anthems are just like that -- stirring.

I've always liked Canadian and Korean national anthems.
Of course, I'm biased.

I'm for the United States Anthem. After all, isn't the only national anthem with death, destruction, rockets, and bombs going off!

French all the way! How can you not love a song which goes on triumphantly and cheerfully about "our enemies blood flows freely in the streets"!
