Re: PBW server is back up.
Up for a civnet game sometime?
Roanon, I didn't start the app before I left so it won't run the turn, will be home tomorrow night (12 hours x 2 in a car with two small kids, that's a weekend!)

Actually I am playing a game of Civ3 Conquests. Unlike PTW and the vanilla Civ3 it actually makes for a worthwhile game.

Well, technically they aren't making any money since I don't get billed for any time until the service is reestablished.Quote:

Re: PBW server is back up.
Actually, I would be happy if it was a 3-week installation...it would already be done. It was taken down on Oct 23. 8 days in October and this is the 17th day in November...that means this is the 25th day of waiting.

Re: PBW server is back up.
Three weeks for a DSL hookup is not anything extraordinary at all. That's normal for some areas.
Guys, honestly. Do you not think I would post updates here as soon as I get them? Do you not assume that me not posting anything here means that I have nothing to post? I don't mind people posting actual questions, but if your only question is "Can we get an eta?", then maybe read the rest of this thread and see the Last time I gave you an eta. Cause if I haven't posted anything since then, and that eta hasn't passed yet, then chances are real good I don't have any new information.

All that being said, I have some new information!
I just got an email saying the DSL line should be installed by the 21st. So we can all hope that they actually meet that goal. At least it's some news.
