Just a couple thousand feet too much between my house and the central office for the DSL to handle smoothly.

Yeah, I remember you mentioning that before. Problem is, we wanted to rollplay it up a bit and, somehow, make it a bit more exciting than just a physical distance problem. If not supernatural events causing the problem, at least allow us "our cat"...
