The reason for that might be a problem with your mail server. I sent an email to you two days ago, today I received a "Mail System Error - Returned Mail" notification:
Quote:
This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:
Your message was not delivered because the destination computer was
not reachable within the allowed queue period. The amount of time
a message is queued before it is returned depends on local configura-
tion parameters.
Most likely there is a network problem that prevented delivery, but
it is also possible that the computer is turned off, or does not
have a mail system running right now.
Your message was not delivered within 2 days.
Host yahoo.fr is not responding.

I resent it more than three hours ago, did you receive it this time?

Re: PING: Ruatha
Hrmm... I try to respond to any Messages that are sent to me specifically. If anyone has sent me one and I haven't then it is probably due me not getting it. Other possibility is that I switched e-mail accounts. Tried to let everyone know but never can tell.

Re: PING: Ruatha
Vezzra, it was Messages within the game, so there are no explanation for their lack of response. However, your message does concern me. *Frowns* Could you send it to me via a PM? I will look to having yet another mail, as Yahoo doesn't seem to be that reliable.

Re: PING: Ruatha
It could be worse Vezzra, you could have to face up a United Federation encompassing all western Empires for example. Wouldn't that be nice? Ruatha, do you want to be my partner?
Of course, what worries me is the fact that Ruatha is not involved in a war. Yet. Thus he is free to launch an offensive against any of his neighbours in this sector. Hopefully, I am at a somewhat safe distance, but... Loser? Would you mind to deal with Ruatha once you are done with the Nyxians?

Re: PING: Ruatha
The Kilrah are my neighbor, the Nix are my neighbor, the Rorg are my neighbor. Some AI in the north, who was a close ally, is my neighbor.
Believe me when I tell you I appreciate the scale of your empire. I do not hold it against you that you are small. I do take those cautious steps I feel are appropriate to my situation.

From the sounds of things I may have to deal with the Kilrah once Rags and I are done with the Nix.
Still, I am the turtle. I will build and build and build and am not so likely to start a fight. It is fortunate, for me and perhaps all other players, that Nix opted to attack so soon after he had rushed-up the Talisman. At this point his battle technology remains primitive compared to my own and I do have some chance. Contrast this with my situation in Adamant009, where I have been making life interesting for the Religious Gravey for fifty turns or more but have only succeeded in delaying the inevitable.
I would like to note that, if your empire is large enough, it is still possible to make enough money to support large fleets under full or near-full riot conditions. It is just not possible to do so forever.
