Re: Rated Challenges Thread
2 x 2 (Alneyan/Slynky -vs- Electrum/Parabolize) - 2404.0
Well, things are sorting out and the game looks even so far (1st place and 4th place -vs- 2nd place and 3rd place...averages out to 5 and 5).
I always like these games though I know they can be a REAL nail-biter! Full-tech and all. What's good about this sort of game, besides being able to use things you never get to use in KOTH (for example) is the wide variety of choices. I have quite a variety of ship designs already!
Win or lose, it's gonna be fun. Just don't forget, Parabolize, I have the unimaginable Alneyan with me...no telling what he might do...not as predictable with me and my satellites... . This is his first full-tech game and he's having a ball with all the toys to play with .

Re: Rated Challenges Thread
Oh, if I were Parabolize or Electrum, I would rather keep a close watch on Slynky, and merely await for my League to destroy her warships on her own, as I am the best player when it comes to losing battles which should be gained. If you are nice enough, I might even considering scouting what lies *inside* a Black Hole with half my war fleet.
I don't have that many toys to play with Slynky, and for once I don't even use my Infamous Light Carriers, and I do feel naked without my reseach powerhouse behind me. Besides this, not much is going on for the moment being, but I like it this way. Perhaps we should consider a mutual alliance for prosperity and... Erh, not so I guess.

Re: Rated Challenges Thread
I think we are winning in expansion but I fear some huge fleet is coming to change that.
Mulch may not be much of a toy but it does take up a lot of space

Alneyan without his Infamous Light Carriers?
I just can't imagine it.

Re: Rated Challenges Thread
Since no one else seems to be doing it...
2 x 2 Challenge (full tech) - Alneyan/Slynky vs Electrum/Parabolize
Year: 2405.5
2 turns now and blood has filled a few systems. The initial attack Last turn saw the fleet of Parabolize victorious but with sever losses. This game him an opening to our vulnerable systems...able to go on a rampage, so to speak.
Then the ensuing turn, while he added ships to his armada, a counter attack took place in two other systems...the overwhelming victory belonging to Alneyan...who has two fleets in position for a "riot run".
Despite the large ship losses, no point positions have been changed! Parabolize, lover of full-tech games, has remained in 1st place followed (closely?) by Alneyan. My pitiful self seems to be content in Last place while Electrum, a somewhat unproven player (though his rating and skills show promise) holds 3rd place.
The next few turns could be bloody indeed as secondary lines of defense have been solidified and other frontal attacks appear to be imminent.
Big questions! Defend? Fall back? Attack? Shift forces? It's an exciting game as most any full-tech game is. The (potential) victory can shift each turn.

2 x 2 Challenge (full tech) - Alneyan/Slynky vs Electrum/Parabolize
Year: 2406.0
Well, 5 turns since Last update and the good guys (that's Alneyan and me ) look to be ready for harvesting . A fleet (of Parabolize's) has broken through (with another 30+ ships behind it) a critical point in the map and it looks like we have no defenses in place to stop it.
Meanwhile, in the south, my ship building efforts seem to have been slow and any turn now, Electrum (who has been very silent) will break through and then there will be double trouble.
Sigh...looks like doom for the good guys. To make things even worse, Parabolize has taken the race I beat him with on 2 other full-tech games and flaunted his ability in my face . But I've always said he's a good player.
