Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
A ship is a ship is a ship is a ship.
And that's the way it works. So if someone mediocre enought takes it away by the mean of intel project, then it will
1) loose its Mediocre experience
2) go to unmoothballed status with its Mediocre crew.
I am not sure about supply status, but I think fuel tanks will be filled up by the mean of mediocre magic?
That was my Mediocre 0.2 euro-cents.

Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
This is very odd. I was running a test so I could see what you were talking about here. But I have been unable to use insurection to take a mothballed ship away from another player. If I unmothball the ship, I can insurrect it every time, but when it's mothballed the project fails every time. The empire I am insurecting it from has no intel production so should not be able to stopp any attacks.
Loser, what Version are you playing? Is it a simultaneous turn game? I would like to figure out what the reason for the discrepancy here is.

Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
As UE so subtly implied, this was in Mediocrity, a game I took over from you.
If it could make a difference, I might have had a Scrap order on that ship, I'm not sure...
Those mothballed ships over the homeworld were going to be what kept my fleet going as the rest of my empire fell apart... oh well, I didn't expect to Last too much longer. I just hope my fleet makes it to the fight before it falls apart.

Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
Loser, I have a theory about what might have happened. I reran the turn in which UE took your ship form you, but I changed his orders to remove any crew insurrection intel projects. Your orders I left alone, using the same .plr file you submitted. When I ran the turn this time of course the ship was did not mutiny, but it was also not scrapped. What it was was unmothballed.
Is it possible that you meant to scrap the ship, but accidentally unmothballed it instead? And then you just had the rotten luck and bad timing of it being insurrected out from under you on the same turn you unmothballed it? That would be technically possible since intel is done after construction in the game phase. This would explain why a ship he took from you that was mothballed the turn before was unmothballed, fully fueled, and had one turns worth of training when he took possesion of it. The alternative would be a bug, you are correcct, and a fairly serious one to boot.
Assuming you are just accidentally unmothballed it as I am suspecting, this does leave teh question of whether a mothballed ship can be taken by insurrection. Now that i am testing it I think it cannot. It makes more sense that it cannot, but I guess I never thought it through all the way because I always assumed previously that it could. Has anyone ever seen a mothballed ship insurrected?

Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
It is quite likely you are correct, Geo. If other ships over the homeworld were also unmothballed I would feel quite certain that you are completely correct. Even without that reassurance I feel safe in assuming that the scenario you have describe accurately describes a series of poor decisions on my part.

Re: Mothball Mutiny Surprise: is this a bug?
I haven't seen mothballed ships being taken by Crew Insurrection either. What I have seen is the random ship movement event (Spatial Anomaly) hit a mothballed ship. It's very strange to have one of your mothballed ships sitting out in the middle of a different system.
