no, what i mean is, in SEIV, if you enter combat with that F-18, all of a sudden you know every single component on it, even though your scanner's are still affected by ecm.

what i meant there is that a pre-industrial scientist, but not to pre-industrial, might have been able to put the escaping steam together with the heat of the boiler and guess that the steam was exerting pressure to move the train. so, even if he has very little idea how, he still has a grasp of what. so, even if you don't know how to make a quantum generater, you still might be able to recognize the quantum flux and guess that that is what it is.
