Non disclosure - im guessing that with each patch the company would just realise it for paying owners to download. Let them test it even you get more fan involvement that way - oh well i guess all dont operate the same way so we still wait longer for them to finish and update the game.
Well as Baron tried to explain, these aren't really patches. They are just steps in the process to developing a patch. The only thing a software company can do that's worse then not supporting a game is to release patches that make things worse then they were before. The beta process helps to prevent that by having a group of people test the changes to make sure no new bugs have crept into the code. Otherwise you get people screaming about how bad the company is because they released a "broken" patch.
Every company does this, it's just that normally the beta steps arent' announced to the public. And for exactly this reason.

Perhaps a seperate page for players or even a link into the forum where we can download the beta realises - and accept all the bugs - it could be an open beta testing thing where if we wanted in we would test it and then contribute feedback.
Id like to beta test if anyone can provide the patch or if someone from MM can send me an email at et_pj84 at hotmail dot com. (this will avoid spam bots sending me more spam ads)
Besides, look at the news on Malfador's website. Sometime this month the patch is scheduled to be released. Have a little patience!!

Download the Nosral Confederacy (a shipset based upon the Phong) and the Tyrellian Imperium, an organic looking shipset I created! (The Nosral are the better of the two )
The longer the wait, the more fixes and additions in the next patch! Besides, if the next patch is going to be the Last one, I'd prefer to wait until all the bugs are fixed before it's released.
Is it really true that the next patch will the the Last?
