Wow, that reeks of the rank stank of cheese. (no offense to the person of same handle) If that's the type of near-cheating one needs to do in order to win a PBW game, I am seriously considering not ever playing PBW again.

Re: Couple of newbie questions
Umm... yeah... this is the information that most people pick up on after their first dozen or so PBW games... I just put it all into one place. It is not near-cheating in any way shape or form.

Re: Couple of newbie questions
Any analysis of the game could be called "cheese." Might as well label the Newbie FAQ "cheese" too. Those nasty Strategy Articles and all... plus all the other info that is of a similar nature to my Min-Max article...

Re: Couple of newbie questions
Race setup sucks . What I want most in SE V are setup choices that are real choices. "Choices" where you have a must-do value (like maintenance, ground combat, etc) just suck, choices that have a very obvious optimum setting with narrow margins due to personal play style just are not good.
Same applies to weapon "choices" but these can be modded at least.
Wow, thats an idea - how about moddable setup choices??? Not just changeable costs, but free selection/invention of setup choices?
