I'm not sure but maybe you can have more mines together in one sector if you lay a whole bunch in a random movement system, and the movement causes them to come together into one group? But you can't control where they end up.

Then you are using a modded settings.txt file. The stock limit in 1.91 is still 100. Are you playing the Star Trek Mod by chance? As I said before that one is modded to allow 120 mines per sector.

Were you playing a stock game (V1.91) or a mod (V1.91)? Some of the mods have a default "Maximum Mines" setting higher than 100.

Star Trek Mod (STM) and Atrocities Star Trek Mod (AST) are two very, very different mods. Their names should not be used interchangeably. In this case, I think they both have the same max mines setting of 120, but still.

There are so many Star Trek mods, I have trouble keeping them straight.

Are you playing Gravey's turns? Something strange like that happened to him, just yesterday. LOL Yeah, those we're our mines. Hope you liked that little suprise! It was kind of funny how he had Geo reverse the turns so he could get his fleet wiped out. We're glad he did!

MWUHAHAHAHA
