Re: OT: Matrix
How bad does a movie needs to be to get into the Worst Ever group?
I would say that the disappointment factor should be the rule to judge by. Movies that we expect to be awesome but we come out of the theater extremely disappointed. If so, than my list of "Worst ever" would be:
1- Return of the King. I still can't get over that greeny stuff winning the battle of Pelennor fields. The battle was won in the book by the sacrify of the humans in Middle Earth, and it was won at the price of heavy cassualties. Peter Jackson completely missed Tolkien's message of the Price of Victory, which Tolkiens got from his experiences during WW1.
2- Matrix 2 & 3. I don't think they were totally bad, but they added several layers of confussion to the main history, as outlined in the 1st movie, and thus they were a big disappoinment.
3- Terminator 3. Another good 'Ahnold movie. I really hoped Arnold would play a negative character, like in the original. Just like in T2, the Terminator arrives to the present by walking into a bar, and kills a wooping.....ZERO humans. The only cool thing about T3 was the nukes at the end. That was......awesome? I would say terrifying.
