I wouldn't mind seeing young Kirk growing up in a farm in Iowa dreaming of the stars along with his brother Sam. I'd also love to see George Kirk in action, as IIRC he was the security officer of the Robert April era Enterprise. It would be neat to see, but I doubt it would ever happen.

Re: OT: Star Trek
I really don't see that happening either. You have to keep in mind that these movies have to generate revenue from more than star trek fans even then, as a ST fan, I don't like the "TOS" era (yes, i know it reads the The...).
As for a new series... I wouldn't mind seeing something more modern, post-Voyager or even post-Nemesis. It would be nice if they were able to mesh in stories from the previous 3 series (TNG, DS9 and VOY) as well as previous locations, events and people (as guest appearances). I'm sure there's a lot more that'll be happening now that the borg are gone, the dominion are not a big threat, and the federation *does* have technology from the future...

Re: OT: Star Trek
Well, bringing powerful technology from the future to defeat the Borg sort of ruined the story because the Borg were supposed to be this big threat to the federation, and having Janeway violate the prime directive about time travel wasn't so good, even though every starship captain seems to regularly break the rules. Well, now to make things interesting, they have to introduce an even more powerful alien enemy race to threaten the federation.

Well, the most powerful race the Federation has run across doesn't seem to have much interest in them, except for one individual. And I'm talking about the Q Continuum. We haven't seen Q in the movies yet, and it would be interesting to see him in the next movie. Maybe to annoy Janeway or Picard? Or maybe they're having another little spat and it's leaking over to Federation space. I still want to know if the Organians were Q, or maybe a branch of the Q who didn't like living whereever the Q live.

Re: OT: Star Trek
Captain Christopher Pike gets fed up with the Talosians and decides to go Borg. He's practically one already. Right Capt. Pike? "beep"
Or better yet, he travels back in time with his wheel chair and gets a job as a police chief in a large California City. Changes his name to Chief Ironside.
I don't think there will be anymore Next Genration Movies. You can't shine a turd.

Re: OT: Star Trek
Yeah, those Last couple of Next Generation movies weren't that good. And Data is gone now.
