Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
I'm currently reading Dan Brown's Angels & Demons, the prequel to The Da Vince Code. Amazingly, it's reading almost like a sci-fi book, because it's dealing with an anti-matter. I'd recommend it.

Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
Just finished Angels & Demons. It was much better than I thought it would be. It's a page turner. Can't wait to read The Da Vinci Code. If it's anything like this Last book, it will be great. I may have found my favorite new non-sci-fi author. hey, somebody's got to fill the void when Stephen King finally retires.

Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
Mine would have to be the Pern series followed closely by the Corean Chronicles by L.E. Modesitt JR.

Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
Just finished the first 3 books of Guardians of the Flame. First book was excellent, but the next two really went downhill, I think.

Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
Finished reading The DaVinci Code. It is a great book, and you don't really need to read Angels & Demons to understand things (there are a couple of reference to what happened, but you really don't need to read it to read this book). I don't think I'm giving out a spoiler to say that this book involves a search for the Holy Grail. And you'd be suprised at what this books claims to be the Grail. There is some historical precedence for this theory, as I saw it on Discovery or Learning Channel not too long ago. But you'll have to read the book to find out for yourself.

Just finished Valhalla by Clive Cussler and well, not his best work but still very interesting....

True, but still a good book. I'd wish he'd forget about Kurt Austin and this other new series of books he's starting to write, and just concentrate on Dirk Pitt.
