I know it was the name of a planet in the BSG mini-series. 
I also know that that is has to do with an acient place like HELL or something.

It is the name of the final battle between the gods and the titans. I alway thought Ragnarok was part of "that Norse warrior crowd"  , but I see he is from Indiana instead. Assumptions

Speaking of the BSG mini-series, does anyone know when or if a new series is coming out anytime soon? I liked it, even though I grew up watching the original show, and like that one also. I hated the mini ending on a cliff-hanger, or more like a surprise ending.

Nope. All wrong. Final battle between the gods of Asgard (the "good" gods) and the Jotuns, during which the current universe will be destroyed and only a few of the Asrgardian gods will survive. A new golden age will occur after Ragnarok occurs. Titans are Greek, not Norse.
