It's cool, but in the wrong hands. Just what we need, heat prostrated hippy ravers (in Top Hats) driving unimproved vehicles while gawking at naked hippy girls.

He built the thing. I think he has a pretty good idea of what it could do.

Hell, it 'only' weighs 1,100 pounds.

This thing looks cool, but would be extremely dangerous to someone who is not very familier with it for one very simple reason. What's everbody's instinctive reaction riding a bicylce if things start to go wrong. You put your feet down on the ground. Doing that riding this thing could really ruin you day.

geo... i am guessing you have not rid a bike in awhile... The first thing to do is to get away from the bike as quick as possible when things go wrong... With that thing... good luck

Hmmmm, I am having trouble picturing how you exactly you would get away from the bike without first putting your feet on the ground. Even if you could somehow sprout wings and fly off the bike, unless you've been flying longer then you've been riding, your instinct will be to first try to correct the problem by putting your feet down and stabalising yourself, no?

That's one of the nice things about the Segway. Your instinct tells you to step off if things get out of control, and that's also the best thing to do. Unless you try to step off to the front, like certain national leaders whom will remain nameless.

when mountain biking... the key is not to get tangled in the bike as it will cause the most damange on a spill. so instead of putting the feet down first... you push yourself away from the bike.

Ah, well that makes more sense then. But as you said, either one would be painful if not fatal on this contraption.
