Edit: Is it just me or does Marvin now look like a midget Stormtrooper?. They must have made a mistake when they grew the clone.

It changes the whole feel. As I just thought, 'Ompa loompa'. I may be really pessimistic and jumping the gun, but I don't think this is something they should or can really change anything of without messing things up. They should get the guys who did the comic Version of it to do the movie. That had the exact same feel, as far as I can tell and while they cut stuff, the stuff they left was word for word, as nearly as I can tell.

I think we're all being rather cynical because popular sci-fi turned to movies are always butchered and turned into a $$$ fest. Very rarely does a sci-fi succeed when the hollywood producers wrap their grimy hands round it.

EDIT: AIIIIIIIIIIIEEEE!!!! I just saw the new marvin suit!!! What have they done!!! I had some glimmer of hope for this, now i can't see any at all.

I have the episodes on tape and Marvin is a big silver robot with a perpetually grumpy face that fits his voice. Now he will look like an overweight midget stormtrooper.

Disclaimer: when i call him a midget I am in no way attempting to be derogatory of Mr Warwick, I just can't think of a better way to describe the new Marvins (the robot, not the actor's) size.

Edit: When the inevitable toy comes out you could tear off his beach ball head and put a Clone helmet on him.
