Re: Top 5 Games You Play
1- SEIV (duh...)
2- Hong Kong Mah Jong (9 dragons software)
3- Zangband
4- Alien Crossfire
5- ??? (too much time on SEIV)
Most of my truly perennial games are shareware: I have not a lot of luck with enjoying most 'pop' games. The other reason is I play my games mostly in hotel rooms while I travel, and I do not have a CD drive on my laptop...

Re: Top 5 Games You Play
Hmm. I'd have to say:
-SE4
-ST: Armada (not really stable, but fun with my realistic Borg mod & miscellaneous small fixes)
-AOE
-Gladiator (Cross between Gauntlet & FinalFantasy)
-Nick's SpaceWar (My own Really fancy Asteroids game)
Neat thing with writing your own game is that you can add all kinds of features:
eg:
- White "space background" toggle, so it looks like notepad work at first.
- Pause + Total invisibility for "x" seconds after emergency button is pressed (no taskbar, no tray icon - totally invisible & can't be restored until the time is up )
- Automatically scales shield rendering detail to computer speed
