Am 41. Employed by USAF in Texas. I make programmers do documentation. Played board wargames since the 80's (Started with Tactics II?) and still think hex maps are neat. Played more SPI then Avalon Hill games. Wish I still had all of them (even the really bad ones). Subscribed to Strategy and Tactics for years till board wargaming and SPI gave way to pen and paper games. (Dungeon and Dragons, the original 3 pamphlet Version. Could not understand it at first. No map or counters, LOL )

Played computerized Versions of D&D and board wargames for years after that along with D&D. Friend showed me SEIV when a new MOO? came out and read reviews that SEIV sounded better.

Still have my Everquest account but currently spend more time in SEIV.

Computer history: Started with TI-994a, still have it, then an Atari 400, an Atari 800, Commodore? 64, and then an Emerson 286 was my first Ibm Compatible.

Am 34 to be exact.
A doctor, graduated -99, now in my first year in the radiology department (will take 5+ years to become radiologist).
Have two kids so I only have time for turn based Strategy. Plays other stuff on occasionally LAN parties with friends.
Got my first computer around 83 I think. A Sinclair ZX-81, for you americans that would be a Timex.
Later on I imported a Amstrad CPC-486, went three years in school to become a computer repairman. Changed my mind, worked in a shop as an assistant for a year, made my military service and worked after that in the health care, thereby dooming myself to becoming a doctor.
Lives in Sweden with a wife who doesn't enjoy computers whatsoever, doesn't understand Sci-fi at all, but she puts up with my indulgances!
Got the game late spring and has played initially with friends and now PBW, don't play the AI.

Loved to play Battleship and games like stratego. In terms of computer games...I love Populas, Lemmings, The Sims and Alpha Centauri. (Not bad for a girl huh?)

In case you were wondering...I am learning the game so I can spend more time with my boyfriend who plays it thirty hours a week.

Which of you Gentleman are going to help me learn this game so I can beat my boyfriend at it?

Now, I have been lurking here for a few weeks...is it really safe to post here?

A female, must have passed on to other games long ago, didn't answer my poll anyway

Gotta go play...
Whoa, another one who didn't answe my poll (Digging further back)

Boy, does that bring back memories. Tactics II was one of the first four wargames in my collection. (1914 was the first; I'm not sure what order I got the next three in.)

The first time I posted in this thread, I was 42. I'll be 44 at the end of this month.

My High School had one of the few computer labs in the city at the time. Learned basic and assembler on a PDP 8. With a paper tape reader and teletype terminal and a whopping 500k of core memory!
