What Weapons do AI-Empires use?

I'm playing a game now where the Eee Consortium are using Anti-Proton Beams, Ripper Beams, Incinerator Beams, Wave Motion Guns, Fighters and Carriers. So far I've been holding them at bay by sheer numbers and heavy mining of warp points. I'm now planning to steal some of their ships to get their higher tech and then go on the offensive.

You can change which weapons the computer players use by screwing around with the AI ship design files. This is absolutely necessary if you are making a mod and change the family numbers on your weapons. If you don't, the computer won't have a clue what to put on its ships.

I have also had the AI use torps and a variety of other weapons. Even seen them use mine fields, well they where going to but I (by chance) subverted the ship before it could deploy the mines. Have not went that deep into their territory since, so not sure it they built a new ship or mined any planets. Border planets seem to focus on fighters and WP's for protection.
