Default Lookin for a 3d program

Ok, I have givin up on Pov-ray/moray for now. They seem way to user UNfriendly. Does anyone know of a 3d modelling program out there I can use for SEIV that is EASY to use (point, click, and voila!)? I've done a web search and all the ones I found were either out of date, in a forign language or hideously complex. Any suggestions would be helpful.(maybe it's time to visit Elec. Botique ).

A 3D renderer that is point, click, voila!... I'm sorry to break this too you, but 3D rendering is fairly complex. There is no simple way to do it (unless you're fairly experienced, then some models are seen as child's-play).

Might want to try Blender, some people like it better than the Povray/Moray/Spatch combo.

I seem to recall seening a book called, and I mean no offense, PovRay For Dummies..

Check out www.download.com and do a search for 3d graphics tools. Perhaps you might get lucky. Best of luck to you.

Don't worry. Once you play around with Moray, you'll get the hang of things. Start with simple shapes first, like combining cubes and cylinders, and then work your way to bezier patches and crap like that.

Good Luck!

Blender is free too, which is a big help. It is fairly complicated to learn. The interface wasn't designed to be intuitive. It was designed for efficient work, so the good news is that once you really learn to use it, you will fly. If you do want blender, I recommend you shell out the 50 euros (whatever the hell that comes out to be) and get the manual. I thought, that my prior experience w/ 3D Studio Max would make it easy to just "pick up." Not the case. I spent a whole night staring at the screen, uselessly clicking whatever in an attempt to render a sphere. Ugly. Get the book, it is worth the money.

Id say that moray and povray are the best things for limited budgets. (Mine is so I can't get any others)
