Default Thunder Pack Games: Sequel?

Which of the three games (besides Trader, which already has a sequel) do you think has the most potential, and with appropriate tweaks, improvements, a new coat of graphic paint and gameplay additions, you would strongly consider purchasing? You vote could influence future game development! Let you voice be heard!

Nanotech definately. There are just not enough cyberpunk games out there.

I've yet to beat the original though. Don't know why I would ask for more punishment.

Aren't you working on something else also?

I sure am, SlapBone!

See the latest press release here, the 8th paragraph down for more details about our latest upcoming project, Coliseum:

http://www.shrapnelgames.com/pressreleases.htm

Sound interesting at all?

But I was polling to see what my next project after this one should be, and thought to fish around for my current set of games for possible sequel interest, since i've learned a lot since the original games were released.

So far, Nanotech is winning with all 4 votes cast for it. A bit of a surprise for me, but I always thought Nanotech was one of my better games from a pure design point of view, so hey, i'm game for a possible sequel.

Is Coliseum going to use the same type of interface as the Trader games? What I mean is it going to be picking things off of static screens?

Are you going to be able to control your units or anything like that on the battlefield?

I read the press release but it's not all that clear. Maybe you could provide some more info?

Some comments of the trader games:

I don't care all that much for graphics but one thing that turned me off a little on the trader games was I just felt like I was clicking menus, and not really part of the 'world'.

For example if when I was in combat I could move my ship around the screen and fire when I wanted to the combat would still be pretty simple but I would feel like I was doing more then clicking static menu choices. It's the basic problem I have with most of your games. I like the gameplay but it would be cool if I could be more in the game.

Another example is when I'm flying between planets, maybe I would have to control my ship to avoid obstacles. Again something more interactive besides clicking menus.

I like the design, and graphics, but wish the games were more interactive.

I don't know if I'm making any sense.

Basically, my game deisgns for the most part are "pure" strategy games, in the sense that they aren't designed to involve reflexes or joystick things at all. They're decision, planning and choice oriented games. If you prefer games where you require joysticks and "action" (per se) to be interested, my games probably won't appeal to you much.

Games like Championship Manager have become hugely popular, despite the fact you can't physically move the players (like an EA game for instance). The player management and in-game descriptions suck you "into" the game.

Basically, if you enjoy Championship Manager, Puresim (baseball game), Out of the Park and other games like this, you'll enjoy Coliseum (even if you don't necessarily like sports). If you don't enjoy them at all, well, odds are you might not like Coliseum that much.

Also: As far as Coliseum, you will have quite a bit of control over managing your warriors, and their "attitudes" when they fight (you can set their starting strategies, like Be Aggressive, Be Cautious and Fight like Normal, etc). They'll be plenty to do as far as the management end of things go, which is what this game's focus is, along with very dramatically written fight sequences.

On that subject, one thing i'm toying with possibly including is adding a "control" feature during the combat at certain points, where you can give orders or change aggressiveness to your warrior DURING the fight itself. Hmm...

I wasn't really talking about arcade joystick action. More like turn based combat and the ability to move during combat.

I like some of the new ideas you have about the new game.

When do you think you will have some screenshots?

Keep up the good work
