My guess it's some odd combination of drivers and hardware configs. I would get with Aaron and see if he can help you sort it out.

Well I just tried the game on my laptop which is a 1ghz celeron also with 256Mb of ram but with Win XP and it worked great. I suspect this is yet another problem I can thank Mr Gates for and the wonderfull piece of crap that is WinME.

Argh, WinME... downgrade to 98 or something. Tell you what though, once you go XP it is great, very stable system and everything. Just get used to the idea of needing more RAM. (I have 512, and I am thinking of getting a gig or so...)
