Re: from which source you heard of dominions (I/II)
I heard about it on a game forum....just not sure which one....I also first heard about it in Computer Games Magizine....seen the review....but for some reason, at the time, it didn't interest me (i was a former gfx addict)....
I know it took me 3 tries in installing it to finally start to liking it....3 tries, then I found the domx forum, started posting questions there, getting answers....then starting learning how to play this beast...now, my absolute fav game, at least until I get the sequal...

Other: Read about it in a message on the Space Empires forum on Shrapnel site, before a Doms II forum was added here. That's also where I found out about Doms I.

Gone Gold forum. I'm sure we'll manage to ensnare a couple of new players there

Re: from which source you heard of dominions (I/II)
I saw a thread on CSIPGS, played the demo and was so frustrated with it that I posted a very negative review there, and then just kept playing it happily ever after.
And Treebeard - I'll agree that Gonegold will probably drag in some new players. Bill already said he'd toss in a mention for it, and I dug up my old password to go flood the MP forum again... see you there?

Re: from which source you heard of dominions (I/II)
I found Dominions while searching usenet for information on MOMII. I saw a post by Gandalf Parker and knew this game was for me.
Yo
Ps - I'm on Gonegold too, that is a great community.

Heehee. I remember couple of threads in the strategic games newsgroup where the conversation was how Illwinter should hire me as a PR person.
