Default Keyboard problem

I just noticed that the shift key is not working in the game. I know that it has been working before, and it's working now as you can see, so I'm wondering what happened? I am still able to shift-select units, but I cannot put capital letters when giving a name to the pretender or a game, and I cannot access the shortcut list, because the "?" requires a shift key, for example.

Any clues?

What sort of keyboard are you using? If it is not a type that they tested the game with, it is possible that the game is incapable of properly translating the incoming signal from the "shift" key on your keyboard.

I have a french keyboard and I noticed a similar behavior when I'm in windowed mode. Everything works fine when in fullscreen (from start, if I switch to fullscreen in game, the capital letters are still unavailable).

strange hey?

Actually, this is the same thing that's happening to me. I was starting the game in a windowed mode with a --window switch, because more often than not the game would flicker and become garbled upon startup. Then I would have to alt-enter to window mode, which would almost always correct the problem, and alt-enter in again. So I thought that it would be easier to just start windowed, and then switch to fullscreen. Now when I saw you posted this, I removed the switch, alt-enter twice, and whaddayaknow, the caps and ? are there.
Btw, I'm not using a French keyboard, I'm using the standard qwerty one, so it might not be due to the French layout of keys, but rather to something with window mode from the onset.
Weird indeed....

And thanks for the tip.
