Re: The "I\'d like to play MP" thread
It would be nice to have a seperate mp board so there'd be no need to search for your game's thread and people would know where to look for mp games. Just a request here. And I'd be up for playing a mp game when i get my copy.

Re: The "I\'d like to play MP" thread
I have a few MP questions.
1. Can you assign a time limit to a turn, as you can in Age of Wonders II, for instance?
2. How does the battle replay work in MP? If 1 player watches 1, do all the others have to watch as well?
3. How can anyone enjoy playing PBEM

I'll play anything, but I need to go through 8080, since it is my only open port..

Re: The "I\'d like to play MP" thread
I wonder if this game could use a PBW like system -- it works well with SEIV.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Actually, you can join a game that uses any port. If you are restricted to a single port, that just means you can't be the server except through that port, but it does not affect your abilities as a client. But if you can access email, and the internet, and so forth, I suspect you have more ports than just 8080 open=)

1) In the case of TCP/IP games, yes. Minutes or days.
2) You only see your own battles and battles where you have a stealthy unit.
3) It's mainly for the poor ones who never gets any spam. With PBEM games they get at least a couple of mails a week.
