i dont know if this is really a bug or not, but i created a single-system map with the intention of seeing how brutal of a combat I could have with 20 players and 10 homeworlds each, the game hung trying to place the players. i presume because it could only stick one planet per sector and it ran out.

My Lone Star quadrant mod did the same thing. Those games were a riot.

That would be a good multiplayer scenario:

Last man standing win conditions, have a small number of individual systems unconnected by warp points. Place 2 players in each system and thn you have to decide whether to work together to develop WP tech and get out or glass your "partner" and go it alone...

I just uploaded a updated template for the stars around us to 7 parsecs. I have added warppoints to stars up to 2.5 parsecs to each other (some I had to go a little further so I created turblent warppoints for them.) I have also , I think, added the approriate color star(s) to each system.

Later I will add the sol type system I did earlier to the sol star system and verify warpoint connections and starting point 1 and perhaps others.
