Re: Possible to delete, disband, or otherwise voluntarily kill a unit?
Gimps are an integral part of Dominions and we all love them .
Try giving them a nice severance pay or else the union will get you.You know the army has a social responsibility, don't you.
There is no way to get rid of these poor wretches. Place them in the front as archer screens and tell your own archers to fire at closest. You might hit several of the gimps.

Re: Possible to delete, disband, or otherwise voluntarily kill a unit?
I like to "retire" my gimps to provinces as patrollers while the younger/able troops move on to more wars. I always feel that Im giving them the useful deskjob they deserve.

Re: Possible to delete, disband, or otherwise voluntarily kill a unit?
That's interesting! I do the same thing. If somebody develops a limp in my service, they can at least be assured I'll find a good place for them marching around and around in the mud. It's the least I can do to reward loyalty!
Err, wait . . .
Seriously though, when I get a good chance, I'll "screen out" the badly afflicted and let them do other tasks, such as rear garrison and patrolling. They still serve a purpose that way and every once in awhile have actually come in handy as emergency reinforcements and such.

Re: Possible to delete, disband, or otherwise voluntarily kill a unit?
You mean, pay the full upkeep for a diminished warrior ? No way ! Onto the front line I say, where they will serve their God one Last time in a spectacularly bloody fashion !! And if they are still good enough to survive, they get to live untill the next battle !
Just getting into the Mictlan spirit for my next AAR report...
