Lich is better/more expensive than Master Lich?
Just found it kind of odd... is there any particular reason or just a design oversight?

The master lich has 4 miscellaneous item slots vs. the 2 of the lich. The lich queen has 1 more dominion and less hitpoints, while the Vampire Queen has lower magic skills and lower dominion in exchange for autogeneration of vampires, stealth, regeneration, etherealness, flying and life drain.

Also note the physical stats of the Lich compared to the Master Lich. While both are unimpressive, the real catcher is:
Master Lich = 5 HP
Lich = 30 HP
A noticable difference and can make for quite an impact in some circumstances. Especially artillery type of spells and battlefield spells (Solar Brilliance)

Re: Lich is better/more expensive than Master Lich?
Apparently the fragility of the Master Lich is intentional, since it is in the (bottom of the)description.
For moderate designs, Lich is certainly a tougher body and better fighter.
But if you're not planning to fight physically, and especially if you are planning to take a very high dominion strength, then the Master Lich can have a meaningful number of extra points to get other stuff.
I dug up this thread, however, wondering about the Lich Queen. I guess again it's about saving points when taking a strong dominion, since that seems to be her only advantage over the Lich (her defense advantage is only from coming with a built-in staff (big deal... well, I guess it helps since if she gets taken out, she doesn't lose that weapon - if the Lich carries a better weapon, it has to be a capturable item).

I tend to use the Lich Queen more often than not when playing any of the themes of Ermor. She has, for example, about the same point cost as a Prince of Death to get to death 9, dominion 6.

Re: Lich is better/more expensive than Master Lich?
Master Lich = Physically Weaker but +1 Misc Slot (Not all that important to an Immortal) Note: The physical stats and vulnerabilities allow you to kill a Master Lich with 1 incinerate. Since the targeting makes a Pretender a priority fighting a ML in their own dominion is the easiest out of the three even though they all have the same vulnerability.
Lich = Physically unintimidating, decent Dominion/Death
Lich Queen = One free point of Dominion, no reason to not use her if you want an Immortal Ermor killing machine/rainbow
