That would work perfectly I think. Of course then some list would need to be made avail...

Hehe, I'm not much of a mapper myself.
I enjoy modding, adding races etc, and seeing how far I can twist the game into something new and refreshing. =)

EDIT: Actually you know, thinking about that some more - I think I would much rather actually have some way of extracting the sprites. I mean I might want some infantry unit that has a tower shield, but it might need a pike instead of a spear, or a sword instead of a morning star. Plus it would be really handy to even just be able to change the colours of a unit. You can't do things even that simple with your solution.

It would at least be something though.

But if you are going into a paint program then I would think the Ptr-Scrn method wouldnt be too bad. Of course there are alot of ways that anything could be made easier but I think Id rather see some 3rd party take a stab at it than to have the devs do it.

I'm sure someone will, this community is incredibly productive. =)

I've tried the prtscrn method myself, it works, but it's a bit too much work per unit. It takes some editing and tweaking for each one. At some point it won't be a problem though!

I tried to plant the thought in another thread that some "want to help" person who cant come up with anything might use the AllUnits game and cut-n-paste the images into screenfuls. It would make a nice library for us.
