I like Orania, as well. As you said, lots of provinces and AI's. Rather exciting because you never know who you will run into next. Need flexibility to be able to deal with the various nations.

For some reason most of the maps arnt pleasing to my eyes. I prefer Aran or The Desert Eye. Inland is of the same quality but man is that map big.
Anyone know who did the 3 maps I mentioned above? I know they shipped with the game but im finding the game has WAY TO FEW maps of that quality. Were those made with the in game map editor?

QUALITY MAPS ARE COMMING! Tails is a quality map and check out that other map thread. There's a high-quality map being made right now by Targa.

I made them. In Gimp. The map editor does only allow you to add features and stats (names, neighbours and terrain) to an existing picture.

I can't figure out how to isntall gimp. Well... I can't even find the install file on the gimp website.

GIMP is mostly a linux program. There is a windows Version but not from the main gimp site.
