Jotuns are giants, so they eat alot.
You could build a castle. You could forge some magical items (giant pot of broth or whatever) and stick them on your commanders.

The big hag (forgot the name) volunteered... she is an excellent unit indeed! What are the odds of that happening? Is it something that happens for every side? Seems like a big random factor if not...

It's fairly common to have heroes show up at your castle gates and volunteer.
