healing battle afflictions of leaders
hi everybody this is my first post here.
ive bought dominions II recently, and ive got a question concerning battle afflictions.
a leader has joined my cause. she was blinded before she joined me.
another hero that is in my service has the ability to heal battle afflictions.
having both heroes at the same province didnt help, though. (i want the blindness removed)
the healer was 'defending' and the blind witch was 'researching'. same province. didnt work.
thx in advance for any help

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
btw, the blindness of the witch was referred to as a battle affliction.

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
Units that can heal (eg, Arco priestess) need to select the Heal command - they don't do it automatically when defending etc. Might not see immediate effects.. not sure how it determines chance of healing or # of units healed each turn.

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
Recuperation means that unit heals it's own afflictions automatically over time. It can't heal other units.

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
Ah. Recuperation, if I understand correctly, does not allow you to heal others. It's just a built in chance that any affliction *that* unit has will heal over time.

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
ahh, thx alot to both of you.
and again it shows that you cant give enough details and information .. i shoulda added the name of the skill from the start.
now the witch will have to remain blind.
however, it is rumored that her impressive magical abilities grant her a different kind of insight and awarness o_O.
if i wasnt a god myself, id be running away shocked and awed. or something. o_O

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
Hmmm. Is the witch Branwen the Blind? If so, and memory serves me -- then you must be playing Man, which should have some access to nature magic.
Nature 5 + Enchantment 5 => Gift of Health (healing within your dominion)
Nature 3 + Astral 2 (IIRC, not sure) + Construction 8 => the Chalice (provides healing within that province)
Nature 5 (?) + Conj (something fairly high) => Fairy Queen, which can heal others

Re: healing battle afflictions of leaders
She (if I guessed right) can cast some rituals, like Astral Window, that let her to spy provinces far away. But if a spell mentions any risks, like severing a thread of some kind, be careful. Blindness is not nice, but becoming Feeble-minded is even worse. Astral Window, IIRC right, is on the safe side, but check the description before you use it.
