Re: Blood level effect on hunting
SDR is Sanguine Dousing Rod, a misc item that costs 5 blood slaves to produce and gives a bonus(+2?) to the effective blood skill of a blood mage when performing a blood hunt.

Re: Blood level effect on hunting
Ja, but because it's an open-ended d6, there is a lot of randomness there. A high-blood hunter WILL do better, but the difference between a b2+SDR and a b7-SDR will only be on average 5 BSs. The B7 guy will also have a slightly lower chance of getting the "Didnt find any suitable girlies" message.

Re: Blood level effect on hunting
Blood already has a significant impact on the game. If you make it easier to get a larger # of slaves (ala High Blood Pretenders or FoB) then blood will have even more of an impact. If you could hunt up 40-50 a turn with a high end blood pretender, then early game blood would have much more of a significant impact and the entire line must be rethought. Especially for blood heavy nations.

Re: Blood level effect on hunting
I put a text file with an analysis on my website, but on average, you get 1 slave per turn per hunter, plus 1 per blood level, plus 2 for an SDR. I think the FoB pretender gets +6 blood levels.
