You can hunt for the demo in gaming mags... though I'm not sure it appeared in too many magazine CDs (of course I know of at least one, but it's a french gaming mag)

I first saw Dom2 in February's (I think) edition of PC Gamer. The demo is on the enclosed CD-rom. No download necessary.
