Re: New 2.11 Patch! +OS X Patching problem
Who is going to be the first to get a new "highest numbered unit" count so I can update my daily-maps?

This one kills it for me. Is that a good thing? Personally I feel like it's a quite welcome change in balance, and more realistic. Good job, IW.

Re: New 2.11 Patch! +OS X Patching problem
Its quite wonderful to get a host of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and general enhancements all at once - but we've come to expect nothing less from the Illwinter crew! Many thanks!

Unfortunately this means that if you've added any extra maps or anything to your Dom2 install, it wont update. Is there any chance of realeasing an old-style OS X update? Or do I need to re-install and go install all the maps again after the patch...
Either way this doesn't seem like a good permanent solution. Perhaps maps could be added in the dominions2 directory in the user's Documents directory in a similar manner to mods?
Seeing as this is my first post too(long-term lurker), then I guess I should congratulate Illwinter on a wonderful game too

The iPatch kept saying "Wrong file, patch not applied" for me too. Dele'd, reinstalled (back to 2.02) , downloaded the patch again... (as in: patch applied to an absolutely clean install... how painful)... STILL says "wrong file, patch not applied". (!!!) Hate to say it but the old way (the one I had all that trouble with Last month and plunked into the solution by accident) was easier once it was known how it worked. And to think it was my troubles that may have caused the redesign of the patch this way in the first place... (???)
ADD'L: Now I'm getting a new error message from the iPatch: Some files you tried to patch are locked or missing. Patch not applied. Maybe it expected 2.08 now and is surprised to see 2.02?
