It would apear that Metal is the preferred sound of Dom2 players. I also like that you can change the audio settings to play metal during the battle sequences.

Well, half the Dominions II players are hardcore wargamers, while the other half are crazed fantasy freaks. Most fantasy freaks I know (at least the males) sooner or later make one contact or another with Metal.

I am more in line with Dark Wave, but that's probably my personal preference of dark fantasy things. Ah well. With this little demographic european insight, back to the topic.

I'm way behind on the heavy metal knowledge - the only one I can think of is Wheels Of Steel by Saxon, for Iron Faith Ulm.

Enya is a good suggestion - maybe a Clannad album for LoT?
