Default newb question about mutliplayer games with AI

My friends and I were playing the game Last night (demo) with 3 of us vs. 4 computer AI. Every round after we all hit "end turn" the game just stayed on that screen. I had to go over to the server and hit "force host" in order to progress the turns. Is that normal? Am I doing somehting wrong?

thanks for any help.

Hitting "host" is normal (its a PBEM game).
But it shouldnt have asked you if you wanted to FORCE host. That usually means someone hasnt finished their turn. Are you sure none of the "computer players" were set to human?

They shouldn't have been. The power graphs looked like everyone was playing. I'm sure it was user error on our part somewhere. We'll check it on the real game tonight now that we got it.

thanks!

If you have the "quickhost" option enabled for the server, it'll host automagically whenever all human players have their turns in. If you don't have any hosting conditions set, you'll have to force host.
