MP Game - Orania Semiblitz

I'm at work now, so I must be brief.

First I'm going to stale this turn; it's not because I'm not playing, just that I forgot to check yesterday evening. (Got to playing Neverwinter Night, and suddenly it was midnight)

Secondly, if you're willing to get an Jabber account, warning if about-to-stale is in the works. I'm thinking about a 2-hour warning.

Thirdly, even I have the problems with login (on a local network). I THINK the cause is the server pushing 430Mb swap, and thus needs a little time to bring the requested game into memory. Or it could be a bug. But since I'm having the problem on the internal network rules out firewalls and other connectivity problems.

Finally, if too many people (>40% or so) are AI or AWOL by now, I will go AI, too. I can play with the AI in a less inconvenient manner

Not sure if I'll rejoin... Norfleet seems just a wee bit trigger happy with restarting this game

Huh? I'm not involved in the restarting of the game at all. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Turn 7 just ran, and only 7 players submitted orders, which is absurd. This game is clearly defunct, so I'll stop it and return the slot.

Apologies to the 6 other people still playing - I suggest you move over to the other similar game that is starting. Maybe it won't suffer the same connection problems that have plagued this one.

Well someone started the new game I created... we had built all the way to three players.

Maybe this game is cursed...

Another one is up. Aptly named "Orania - Do not start"

Same rules, same settings as the orginal.
Port 2260

Actually I increaded the turn time to 24 hours. Hopefully that will make it easier for people

This happened twice when Orania_Quick was filling. If it happens again to you, I suggest not advertising the port number here on the Shrapnel forum.

If you make people go to the mosehansen server to discover the port number, you may get fewer non-serious signups (which includes people inclined to click the Start Game button)
